The University of Pittsburgh Obesity Medicine Fellowship provides comprehensive, individualized training that prepares physicians for diverse career paths in clinical practice, medical education, and research. Whether your goal is to become a skilled clinician, a dedicated educator, or an investigator advancing the science of obesity, our program offers the flexibility and mentorship to help you succeed. We recognize that many fellows pursue multifaceted careers, and our teaching environment is designed to cultivate excellence across all these domains.

Our program is rooted in the collaborative expertise of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Center for Obesity Medicine: home to a vibrant community of faculty, trainees, and staff working within state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities. Fellows gain broad, hands-on experience managing both common and rare metabolic and weight-related disorders across diverse inpatient and outpatient settings, including UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Magee-Womens, UPMC Montefiore, and UPMC Children’s Hospital.
