Academic Geriatricians, UPMC / University of Pittsburgh

Join us and help to re-invent the future of geriatric care. The University of Pittsburgh has one of the nation’s largest geriatrics divisions, with more than two dozen geriatricians who practice with over a dozen geriatric psychiatrists. The University is ranked among the nation’s top 10 in NIH funding, while its medical school is ranked in the nation’s topmost tier by US News and World Report. In addition, Pittsburgh has been named “America’s Best Arts City,” “Most Liveable City,” and “Best Urban Adventure City,” and it remains one of the nation’s most affordable and best places to live.

Ample educational opportunities are available at the University of Pittsburgh. The division provides innovative geriatric education to trainees at all levels: courses in every year of medical school, required rotations for residents in internal medicine and other disciplines, a fellowship program in geriatric medicine, and an award-winning CME program. Opportunities also abound for clinician-educators to collaborate on research projects and numerous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

We seek academic geriatricians interested in acute care. Come join a division of colleagues who have a passion for patient care, quality improvement, and scholarly activity.
