The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at UPMC is a nationally recognized leader in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a broad spectrum of digestive and liver disorders. Our physicians and UPMC Digestive Health Care integrate expert care with access to innovative therapies and clinical trials, ensuring patients benefit from the latest advances in medical science.

Specialized programs highlight the Division’s strength in comprehensive, team-based care. The UPMC Liver Center provides targeted approaches for metabolic and alcohol-associated liver diseases, combining medical, nutritional, and behavioral expertise to improve outcomes and quality of life. The UPMC Pancreas and Biliary Center and Total Care-IBD program exemplify patient-centered care for complex pancreatic and inflammatory bowel diseases, integrating clinical care, research, and education to advance treatment while supporting patients’ needs.

Collaboration with the Thomas E.
