I'm expecting—who do I need to notify and when?

  • Contact your manager as soon as you are comfortable.
  • Workpartners (UPMC employees) – 844-833-0524
    12 weeks prior to due date
  • MetLife (University of Pittsburgh employees) – 888-777-7418

Breastfeeding & Returning to Work

What breastfeeding accommodations are offered?

UPMC

Provides:

  • Reasonable break time to pump for up to 1 year postpartum
  • A private, clean, safe lactation space
  • Access to designated lactation rooms or temporary private space
  • Flexible timing based on individual needs (communicate with manager)
