DOM Faculty Appointments and Promotions Committee
The Department of Medicine (DOM) Faculty Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&P) is the first step in the faculty promotion and appointment process. The committee includes representatives from each DOM division, ensuring a broad and balanced perspective.
Committee members serve as advisors to the DOM Chair, evaluating faculty readiness for promotion. Upon the Chair’s approval, nominations are forwarded to the appropriate School of Medicine (SOM) committee:
- TFPA – Tenure Stream Faculty Promotions Committee
- ASFPA – Appointment Stream Faculty Promotions and Appointments Committee
This process ensures a rigorous, fair, and collaborative review of faculty advancement.
