Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program
How to Apply
Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The Hospice and Palliative Medicine specialty participates in the NRMP Match, and applications typically open in the summer prior to the fellowship start date.
A complete ERAS application includes:
- Personal statement outlining your interest in hospice and palliative medicine and your long-term career goals
- Three letters of recommendation, including one from your department chair, program director, or division chief
- USMLE or COMLEX scores (Steps/Levels 1, 2, and 3)
- Curriculum vitae
- Medical school transcript
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
Applicant Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency program in one of the following specialties: anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry, radiation oncology, or surgery
- Board-certified or board-eligible status, with evidence of active pursuit of certification
- A demonstrated interest in an academic or scholarly career focused on palliative care
