Clinical Informatics Fellowship
How to Apply
Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) beginning in July, with a deadline of October 1.
Interviews are conducted from September through November, and the program participates in the AMIA Clinical Informatics Fellowship Match, which concludes in mid-December.
A complete application must include:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Personal Statement (1–2 pages)
- Three Letters of Recommendation (including one from your division/department head or program director)
- Medical School Transcript
- MSPE/Dean’s Letter
- USMLE Transcript
Applicant Eligibility
To be considered for the Clinical Informatics Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of anACGME-accredited residency in any specialty prior to the July 1 start date of the fellowship (unless an ACGME exception applies).
- Eligibility for aPennsylvania training or full medical license.
- Board eligibility or certificationin their primary specialty.
- Demonstratedinterest in an academic career as an educator or investigator.
Formal training in informatics or computer science is not required, though applicants are encouraged to maintain clinical practice in their primary specialty during the fellowship.
