Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship
Program Overview
The Pancreas & Biliary Center within the University of Pittsburgh Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is recognized as one of the nation’s leading programs in pancreatic and biliary disease. The Center combines exceptional multidisciplinary clinical care and procedural expertise with a robust translational research enterprise focused on precision medicine, genetics, and epidemiology.
The UPMC Endoscopy Advanced Fellowship is a one-year, non-accredited program designed for gastroenterologists seeking advanced training in ERCP, EUS, and complex pancreaticobiliary procedures. Fellows gain extensive hands-on experience managing a large and diverse patient population within a high-volume tertiary care environment.
While the program is tailored to prepare trainees for academic careers, the curriculum is flexible and can be adapted to meet individual professional goals and interests. Fellows typically receive an Instructor of Medicine appointment at the University of Pittsburgh, providing both advanced clinical training and salary support during the fellowship year.
