Advanced Gastroenterology Fellowships

The University of Pittsburgh Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition offers a suite of one-year, non-accredited advanced fellowships that provide immersive, mentored training across key subspecialty areas of gastrointestinal medicine. Each program — the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship, and Medical Pancreatology Fellowship — builds on the division’s strong foundation of multidisciplinary care, academic excellence, and high-volume clinical practice. Fellows train within nationally recognized centers of excellence, gaining hands-on experience with complex patient populations and access to cutting-edge translational and clinical research. Whether focused on advanced endoscopic techniques, precision-based IBD management, or multidisciplinary pancreaticobiliary care, these programs prepare graduates for leadership in academic medicine and subspecialty practice through comprehensive clinical exposure, individualized mentorship, and opportunities for scholarly growth.
