Research Interest
Dr. Ramonell studies the immunobiology of patients with severe asthma. Currently, he is working on understanding the role of a unique memory T cell subset, T effector memory cells re-expressing CD45RA (TEMRAs), in the pathogenesis of severe asthma.
Clinical Interest
Dr. Ramonell has a clinical interest in the care of patients with severe asthma and related allergic and eosinophilic disorders. He sees patients in the Asthma Institute in the UPMC Comprehensive Lung Center.
