Research Interest
Treatment modalities of newly emerging viral infections, multi-drug resistant gram negative organisms, and antibiotic stewardship projects.
Clinical Interest
Clinical interests consist of a mixture of inpatient and outpatient consults, while also providing longitudinal care for patients. Dr. Karnik also possesses a keen interest in orthopedic infections and welcomes challenging cases.
Educational Interest
Mentoring trainees to spark an interest in the field of Infectious Diseases; board review sessions for fellows and faculty.
