Bio
Dr. Kevin Misner graduated from the University of Maryland in 2009 with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology. He continued his education at Hood College to obtain his M.S. in Biomedical Science in 2011. Dr. Misner then obtained his M.D. in 2015 at Georgetown University School of Medicine. During his time there he was awarded The Mario Mollari Award for Excellence in Microbiology & Immunology, The Donald M. Kerwin Award for Excellence in Pathology, The Frank G. Standaert Award for Excellence in Pharmacology, and received an Honorable Mention for Excellence in Podium Presentation. In his spare time Dr. Misner enjoys DIY home projects, running, and hiking.
Research Interests
As a fellow, Dr. Misner will be analyzing whole genome sequencing data from patients with familial cases of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other interstitial lung diseases in order to identify causative variants.
