Research Interests

Dr. Konstantinidis previously conducted a prospective cohort study examining the ways in which patients’ perceptions about chronic kidney disease and HIV infection affect adherence to medications for these diseases. He has performed several systematic reviews, including two studies that investigated the representation of patients with kidney disease in major trials of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventions. Additionally, he has worked on developing a multi-pronged approach to reduce inappropriate telemetry monitoring utilization among hospitalized patients. Lastly, he has examined the epidemiology and outcomes of 30-day readmissions among adults requiring invasive mechanical ventilation.
