Bio

Dr. Kimberley DeMerle is a 2014 graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and received both the Gordon B. Myers Memorial Award and the Janet Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award. After receiving her MD, she moved to Ann Arbor for her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. Outside of the hospital, Kimberley loves to explore the world with her Husband, son and her dog, Bubba.

Research Interests

Dr. DeMerle is a clinical health service researcher who studies early sepsis phenotyping with the goal to identify precise management strategies for the individual patient using machine learning techniques. She works primarily within the Clinical Research, Investigation and Systems Modeling of Acute Illness (CRISMA) Center, a collaborative group of clinician researchers, epidemiologists and biostatisticians that focuses of clinical epidemiology of critical illness.
