Eva M. Szigethy, MD, PhD will be honored as the 2021 “Excellence in Health Care Honoree” at the Western PA/WV Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Night of Steel event. Night of Steel will occur on September 25, 2021 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Szigethy is a professor of Psychiatry, Medicine and Pediatrics with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she also serves as the director of Behavioral Health with the Chief Medical and Scientific Office, director of the Total Care-IBD medical home, and co-director of the UPMC Program for Gut Brain Health (PGH). Dr. Szigethy has dedicated her career to behavioral health treatments for patients with chronic gastrointestinal diseases, particular Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
