David Levinthal, MD, PhD discussed a potential new neurogastroenterology treatment on WTAE-TV in November. Dr. Levinthal and colleagues are exploring use of a tens unit to address digestive pain and related issues. Dr. Levinthal is an assistant professor of medicine with the University of Pittsburgh Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, where he also directs the Division’s Neurogastroenterology & Motility Center to help patients with digestive function issues and related pain.
