Richard H. Duerr, MD will be honored by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation national office during their June 10, 2021 “Uniting to Care & Cure” virtual program, also known as “Toast & Roast”.  Dr. Duerr will receive this national award for his commitment to Inflammatory Bowel Disease scientific advancements, especially related to IBD genetics.

Dr. Duerr is a Professor of Medicine, Human Genetics, and Clinical & Translational Sciencewith the University of Pittsburgh’s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.  He holds the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Genetic Research Endowed Chair within the University and also serves as the Co-director and Scientific Director for the UPMC Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.
