Clinical and Translational Research Training
The Division continues to expand the education programs of the Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE), including programs for medical students, residents, doctoral students, and other graduate students. The ICRE’s primary objectives are to develop, nurture, and support a group of clinical and translational scientists by offering education, training, and career development programs. With funding from the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the ICRE is the home of the Research Education and Career Development Core of the CTSI. The ICRE focuses on the training and career development of clinical and translational scientists at each stage, ranging from brief experiences in research to participation in doctoral degree programs. This year, the ICRE had 9 students in the Clinical and Translational Science PhD program, 62 students in the Masters of Clinical Research Program, 49 in the certificate of Clinical Research Program, 21 in the Masters of Medical Education Program, and 4 in the certificate of Medical Education Program.
