Arohan Subramanya, MD, has been awarded a $2 million R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health to study how WNK kinases coordinate potassium secretion in kidney intercalated cells during hyperkalemia. Dr. Subramanya is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Cell Biology in Department of Medicine’s Renal-Electrolyte Division and a Staff Physician in the Renal Section at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
