Poster Awards

Abstract Submission

The electronic abstract submission opened on December 15, 2017, and will close on February 9, 2018. Please email for the password-protected submission link. No paper abstracts will be accepted, they must be submitted electronically.

Of note, abstracts will be limited to 400 words, and will need to include the following information: background, methods, results, and conclusions. Upon submission via the web link, a confirmation email will be generated.  If a confirmation email is not received, please let us know by emailing

Abstracts that have been or will be submitted to a regional or national meeting are fully eligible. ALL ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS. Click here for poster guidelines and printing options.

Faculty with the rank at or below the assistant professor level and medical residents are encouraged to apply as well as graduate student researchers and postdoctoral fellows who are research associates or assistants with the followings degrees: MD, PhD, DDs or MSc and working in Department of Medicine laboratories. Multiple abstracts from one laboratory are allowed. However, investigators and fellows from a single laboratory cannot submit identical abstracts.


A total of eight (8) abstracts will be selected for 15-minute oral presentations: four (4) on April 30, 2018, (residents only) and four (4) on May 1, 2018, (all other levels). Poster awards will be given to individuals based on their level of training and experience (e.g., residents, fellows and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty) in each research category.
