Infectious Diseases Fellowship

Welcome from the Program Director

Welcome to the Infectious Diseases training fellowship program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center!

The field of Infectious Disease offers a wide variety of exciting clinical, research, educational and global health opportunities. We are dedicated in training the next generation of infectious disease specialists and physician-scientists, in an effort to advance the subspecialty and provide high quality care to all. Our mission is to foster an environment that promotes independent growth and life-long learning through the principles of patient-centered, high value, cost conscious care, as well as evidence-based medicine.

One of our program’s strengths includes offering an individualized curriculum to each trainee based on their career goals, while providing a variety of clinical and cutting edge research opportunities. This is done under the supervision of highly qualified and accomplished mentors, all within a supportive and collegial environment at a world-class university.

There is much more that our ACGME accredited fellowship has to offer and we invite you to explore our program, as well as meet our highly dedicated fellows and faculty members.

Thank you for your interest in our program, and hope to meet you soon!
