Fellowships

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Medicine has enjoyed a long tradition of educating young physicians and physician-scientists, providing the tools for a successful career in academic medicine.

The Department is proud of its more than1,000 fellowship alumni who have gone on to excel in their roles as clinicians, educators, and investigators. Our fellowship programs have been strongly supported by federal funding for many years, attracting physicians from around the world. Incoming fellows enrich our programs by bringing with them a wide variety of clinical and research interests.
