The Bob and Sandy Rogers Endowed Fund in Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine

The Bob and Sandy Rogers Endowed Fund in Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine was established by the Rogers’ family in 2008.   This fund was created to honor the former Division Chief and specifically to sustain his life-long mission of fellowship training and education.  The fund goals as established by Dr. Rogers include:

  • To support and maintain the Rogers’ lectureship, which is given  yearly by a national or international leader in pulmonary and/or critical care  medicine  invited  to  visit  the PACCM Division. This individual is selected by the fellowship program with the expectation they will spend a significant component of their visit interacting with the fellows and discussing their research progress and career development.
  • To provide support for the research career development needs/expenses for an individual fellow selected by an oversight committee. The Rogers’ family has made a substantial contribution to the creation of the fund.   With additional contributions from grateful patients, trainees, and professional colleagues, Bob and Sandy Rogers are hopeful that Bob’s career commitment to fellowship training and career development will be maintained for future PACCM trainees.  The Rogers’ fund and lectureship recognize Dr Rogers’ longstanding commitment to physician education and fellowship training.

Former trainees, patients, and professional colleagues can honor the memory of Dr. Rogers, as he requested, by contributing to the Rogers’ Fund.
