Clinical

The clinical programs of the PACCM Division include both inpatient and outpatient components. The inpatient service components include the UPMC PUH Medical Intensive Care Unit; the UPMC PUH Advanced Lung Disease Unit; the UPMC Shadyside Intensive Care Units; the UPMC Shadyside Pulmonary Consultation Service; the UPMC Magee Womens Hospital Pulmonary Consultation Service; the UPMC East Intensive Care Unit and Pulmonary Consultation Service; and the UPMC McKeesport ICU and Pulmonary Consultation Service. The outpatient programs are located within the umbrella of the UPMC PUH Comprehensive Lung Center (CLC), founded in 1991 to coordinate the outpatient clinical programs of the Division into a single hub. The CLC provides a resource for comprehensive pulmonary care in the tri-state region and nationally. A 12,000 square foot facility with 20 exam rooms, complete pulmonary function diagnostic facilities, and an exercise physiology lab, the CLC houses over 20,000 patient visits a year and houses multiple subspecialty clinics in pulmonary medicine. Appointments can be made by calling 412-648-6161.
