The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine has nationally-recognized clinical, translational, and basic research programs that are grouped into the following Centers of Excellence: pulmonary hypertension, HIV lung research, vascular biology, transplantation immunology, acute lung injury, interstitial lung disease, sleep medicine, cystic fibrosis and host defense, emphysema, pulmonary hypertension, and asthma and allergy. This comprehensive approach to lung disease reflects the deep commitment of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to support the mission of PACCM.
