Application Process

General Application Process
The UPMC Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program accepts applications through the Association of American Medical Colleges ERAS Fellowships online program.

International Medical Graduates
University of Pittsburgh fellowship programs sponsor international medical graduates on H1B Visas and J-1 clinical visas through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).

The Interview
Due to the competitiveness of our Program, we expect in excess of 500 applications. As such, interviews will be extended to a select number of applicants. If you are invited to interview with our program, you will receive detailed information from us regarding the interview day.

The Match
Our program participates in The Match through the NRMP’s Medical Subspecialties Matching Program (MSMP). Match registration dates, rank order submission deadlines for both programs and applicants, and rank order certification by programs will be determined and posted when available.
