Centers and Institutes

The Center for Metabolism and Mitochondrial Medicine (C3M) is a joint initiative sponsored by the Divisions of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Cardiology, and the Vascular Medicine Institute. C3M facilitates ongoing and new research that addresses the role of metabolism and mitochondria in physiology and their contribution to disease pathology. The C3M members are committed to translating this knowledge into strategies for diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Center for Obesity Medicine is comprised of a dedicated group of health care professionals determined to provide excellent care in the treatment of obesity and related conditions, and to training other professionals to do the same. The Translational Research Center (TRC) is a collaborative unit made up of faculty and staff from the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & Nutrition, and the Vascular Medicine Institute. This creates an environment with an extensive range of expertise and ongoing studies in translational research.
